Cernmont is a multidisciplinary design studio serving residential and small commercial projects. We combine thoughtful design, technical documentation and practical construction awareness to help projects move from idea to execution.

Our studio works directly with builders, remodelers, developers and property owners. We believe the strongest projects come from clear roles, open communication and respect for the expertise each partner brings to the table.

Behind the studio.

Alvaro Cerna

Founder & Principal Designer

Alvaro Cerna is a building designer with an architectural education and professional design experience in Nicaragua, South Florida and Texas. His background combines creative design, technical drawing production and practical knowledge of residential and commercial construction. He founded Cernmont to bring that experience to homeowners, builders and developers.

Alejandra Montiel

Co-founder

She shapes the studio's brand and strategic direction, with a background in sales, operations and customer success. That focus keeps the client experience at Cernmont as considered as the design itself, across Austin, South Florida and beyond.
